What is BrAMS?

Firstly, BrAMS stands for Bristol & Avon Multiple Sclerosis; just incase you didn't know!

BrAMS, based at Frenchay Hospital (Bristol), provides comprehensive Multiple Sclerosis patient care and carry out disease-orientated research. The unit is well-placed to provide a regional MS Centre of Excellence, with three MS specialist consultants leading a steadily growing team dedicated towards clinical care and research in MS.

BrAMS has been established by Prof Scolding, Drs Cottrell and Wilkins, and is supported by the North Bristol Trust and the South-West MS group.

Valentines Ball

Thank you so much to Amelia, her friends and family for making the Valentines Ball at the Bristol Hotel a great evening. Great food and entertainment and really nice people, made a really good night. Over 80 people came to the Ball, a fantastic singer sang, she was absolutely brilliant and the DJ kept people dancing all evening. Amelia is keen to hold another ball next year and wants to make it bigger and better, please keep an eye on the BrAMS website for more information.

BBC Panorama aired a programme called Stem Cells & Miracles, investigating "buying" stem cell treatments overseas. Along with some other experts, our very own Professor Scolding was invited to give his opinion.
